Article of the Month

A perspective on size

Being one of these strange people who is always looking for the easy way out of doing something, I have found that all of my coach building exercises needed plans and I do not have a lot of time when I'm home, so a solution had to be found.
I've always found Paintbrush a good place for making line-drawings, so I explored all of it's settings and tried to find a way of exploiting it's relative simplicity - it has taken a few months but the solution was there all the time !

Anyone who has explored the attribute section will know that you can select measurements in Inches, Centimetres or Pels (I would call them pixels as Pels sound like some sort of fruit!) - and it became obvious that 3.79 pixels would give me a single millimetre.
After a few experiments of printing boxes of known dimension, I realised that the plans could be drawn to exact (within limitations) size so that they would just print straight out, so no messing with re-sizing on the nearest photocopier - suddenly the blinding obvious had escaped !

Now lets move on to a further stage in this development - just how far can you push this technology - I would say that only creativity knows no bounds on this one !
If you surf on down to my Plan Index, you can see what is of most interest to me, but if you've got an idea for a favourite plan - just fire up the Paintbrush and get busy !
